This collage is about exploring identity and the rich inner world that lies behind what we see on the outside. The man, looking quite powerful and sophisticated in his tight suit and hat, is standing against a wall. But the wall shows a very different universe - there are buildings, people and plants, making it look like a busy city full of life and possibilities. I made the colours yellow, black and red more intense and passionate to make the inner portrait really stand out. The minimalist colour palette brings unity to the work, while also highlighting the contrast between the calm exterior and the vibrant chaos inside. With this collage, I want to convey the idea that every human being has a vast amount of thoughts, experience and emotion. It is an invitation to look beyond the surface and discover the worlds hidden within us all. The work reminds us that we are more than we visibly show - each individual is a big universe in itself.
